Pegasus Players will hold its 25th Annual Young Playwrights Festival—a professional production of winning one-act plays written by Chicago teenagers—at the Uptown Hull House Center, 4520 N. Beacon St., through Jan. 29.
The festival typically receives more than 800 plays written by high school students throughout Chicago. The winning students will receive $500, a full production of their scripts and a professional playwriting mentor to work with them during pre-production.
Regular performances will be Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m.
Tickets are $10 (students), $15 (seniors) and $25 (adults). Tickets may be purchased at www.pegasusplayers.org or 773-878-8864.
