Wizard World Comic Con Chicago hit the Donald Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, on Aug. 21-24.
The front lobby of the convention center started the fun as a place to meet costumed characters upon entering the vast space. Two floors contained numerous vendor booths selling superhero toys, comic books, T-shirts and a variety of novelties.
Evil Dead’s Bruce Campbell ran a horror-movie festival all weekend long while fans lined up to meet Walking Dead stars such as Norman Reedus and American Horror Story’s Evan Peters, among many others.
There were noticeably out and proud artists drawing commissioned work for people looking for collector’s items as this convention continues to be a safe place for a diverse group of individuals that sometimes don’t fit into the social norms. For one weekend at least, everyone can feel like a hero for a day while celebrating their inner child at the same time.
Check back to www.wizardworld.com for updates on the convention coming in 2015.
