Controversial monologist Mike Daisey returns to Chicago’s Theater Wit for a series of three distressing one-man shows. This Is Not Normal is a sequel to Daisey’s The Trump Card, and it explores the cultural and global forces that have helped lead America into the hands of a demagogue. The End of Journalism tackles the rise of FOX News, the decline of newspapers and the many falsehoods spread on Facebook. The White Man’s Burden delves into uncomfortable damages due to the legacy of white supremacy and male privilege. The shows run separately Nov. 16-18 at Theater Wit, 1229 W.
