A man, a plan, a canal … no, wait! A man, a plan, a meatball … Mother! In Meatball Séance queer writer and performer John Michael channels his late Mom through chopped meat so she can meet his new boyfriend, and he needs some audience-interactive help to do it in the 60-minute show. It plays two performances only, July 2-3, as part of the Lookout Series at Steppenwolf’s 1700 Theatre. John Michael is a solo artist familiar to Chicago audiences, but Meatball Séance is special because after Chicago it will tour to Orlando, Winnipeg, Bergen (Norway) and Scotland’s famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Tickets: http://steppenwolf.org/lookout; $15.
