Howard Brown Health will host a Nurses Health Education About LGBTQ Elders (HEALE) full-day workshop on Monday, Aug. 19, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., at 6500 N. Clark St.
The cultural competency continuing education (CE) training for nurses and health are professionals who serve older LGBTQ adults will include:
—Module 1: An Introduction to the LGBTQ Elder Community
—Module 2: Barriers to Health Care and Health Disparities
—Module 3: Sex and Sexuality of LGBTQ Elders
—Module 4: Legal Concerns for LGBTQ Elders
—Module 5: Introduction to Transgender Elders
