The Chicago Department of Public Health removed two states and one territory from its weekly COVID-19 travel advisory on Nov. 2. However, two states whose daily COVID case rate per 100,000 residents rose above 15 are back on the travel advisory.

The advisory stands at 41 states and one territory.

South Carolina, Texas and the Virgin Islands were removed from the advisory, while California (daily case rate of 16.4) and Mississippi (daily rate of 15.2) are back on it. Arkansas, with a daily COVID case rate of 14.1, is the only state eligible to come off the travel advisory next week.

As of Nov. 2, all states and territories except for Connecticut, D.C., Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maryland, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Texas and the Virgin Islands are on the travel advisory.
