The plot of “Lucy” is described as follows: “Lucy Gatlin is a 36-year-old lesbian drummer who drank her way out of a successful rock band. Now in recovery and living in a friend’s garage in Chicago, Lucy learns that her deceased aunt has left her a mysterious gift. To find out what it is, she must return home to Michigan and face her old demons, so she hitches a ride with Eva, a 26-year-old queer artist with a crush on Lucy and some troubles of her own. What happens when they get there will change their lives in surprising ways, and force Lucy to confront her deepest fear.”
